It’s about becoming.” Don’t get me wrong, I am all for dreaming and envisioning and creating vision boards etc. My favorite line from the book was, “Manifesting isn’t about getting. Anyway, I really resonated with the way she talks about manifesting as more of a surrender than a train of demands on the Universe. I was in the middle of reading Super Attractor, by Gabrielle Bernstein (I definitely recommend it BTW - & I think she and I are meant to meet and possibly be BFF’s, but that’s for another note). It wasn’t until recently that a little window of light opened up on the subject for me. I have literally spent a year praying about this, reading about it, and even asking Ms Jen Sincero directly about it in person. My dilemma was this: I believe that my peace and serenity are directly proportional to my ability to accept what is (or surrender), but many LOA teachings speak of getting very specific with what we want from The Universe. I use these titles interchangeably in my prayer and writing. I call it many things, God, Creator, The Universe, Love, Inner Knowing, and Light. I don’t ever aim to define it past knowing that it isn’t me. Personally, I believe that there is something much bigger and more intelligent than little ol’ me. Part of my hesitation with the idea of the Law of Attraction is that often times it seemed to leave no room for some sort of Higher Power. Anyway, I have learned something recently that I would like to share with you. ![]() Even though I wanted to believe what they said was true, I was always skeptical. I have read different books, listened to countless podcasts, and even experimented with some of the suggestions I have learned. Have you ever heard of the idea of manifesting or the concept of the law of attraction? This is something that I have been intrigued by for a while. ![]()
